TOTO Water Environment Fund – Global Impact Activities

The TOTO Water Environment Fund supports sustainable development in regions needing international assistance by backing organizations involved in water-related environmental projects. Instead of providing temporary material or financial aid, the fund focuses on fostering lasting improvements in water access and sanitation. Key activities include collaborations with the Foundation for International Development/Relief (FIDR) in Vietnam, the Japan Asian Association & Asian Friendship Society (JAFS) in the Philippines, and WaterAid Japan in the Kingdom of Eswatini. These efforts contribute to healthier communities through clean water initiatives and environmental care.

The TOTO Design Award highlights internationally renowned design recognitions, including:

  • iF Design Award: Since 1953, hosted in Hannover, Germany, evaluating products based on aesthetics, functionality, and innovativeness.

  • Red Dot Award: Since 1955, hosted at Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany, focusing on innovation, functionality, quality, and standards.

  • Good Design Award: Since 2009, hosted by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design (USA) and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies (Ireland), focusing on sustainability.
